St. Philip is involved in the Myrtle Beach Community!
There are twelve local charities that we support annually through monetary donations. We also have special needs "supply drives" during designated months throughout the year to help as well. Members and friends are asked to bring in their donations and place in the baskets provided at church. If you would like to contribute, please bring your donation by the church office during office hours, Monday thru Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm. or before church on Sunday mornings.
Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach is always in need of non-perishable foods. Donations are accepted through the week during office hours, or they can be brought to church before the Sunday morning service. This is an on-going outreach for our community.
On-going donations of snacks and magazines for our Hospital Ministry continues to bless those who are in the hospital waiting rooms at Grand Strand Regional. Individually wrapped snacks are always welcome. If you have a magazine subscription, please remember to remove your name and address before donating.
Our Outreach Committee's Flower Ministry is a blessing to our home-bound members, and to members who are in the hospital. Each week, any altar flowers that have not been picked up by their sponsor, is divided into bud vases and taken to those members who are home-bound, sick, or in the hospital. This has not only been a blessing to the recipient, but also to the ladies who deliver the flowers.
Our Busy Fingers knitting group knits prayer shawls for those in our church family and beyond. We welcome ladies who can knit and/or crochet to join us on the first and third Tuesday of the month. We also knit blankets and caps for the homeless, If you are interested in helping, please call the church office.
