St. Philip Preschool Mission

Our mission at St. Philip Lutheran Preschool is to provide a loving, fun and safe environment for preschool children, while fostering each child’s intellectual, social/emotional, physical and spiritual development in a stimulating and age appropriate program; thereby, setting the stage for each child to develop a love of learning.

Our Vision

Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.

- Fred Rogers

The foundation of our school is to develop the love of learning and help feed the natural curiosity in a child. This includes a well-defined purpose to provide a loving, Christian environment where a growing child's spiritual, social, mental and physical needs can be nurtured and developed.

Classrooms are designed to encourage each child's cognitive thinking skills through hands on learning centers. We believe that learning by discovery and doing is very important. We provide learning experiences in language, science, creative movement, social studies, art, music, math and pre-reading and writing skills.
