General Information

We offer classes for three different age groups, we have 2 year old, 3 year old and 4 year old classes. All classes run from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Each class has a curriculum based on developmentally appropriate activities, center-based play, and includes Chapel, Music, Spanish and Fun Gym as weekly resources

Below are the classes offered for the 2020-21 school year:

4-YEAR-OLD CLASS: Monday-Friday 

3-YEAR OLD-CLASS: Monday-Friday -or-


2-YEAR-OLD CLASS: Monday-Friday -or-

                                         Mon/Wed/Friday -or-


Tuition for all classes include: 

Supply Fee, Snack Fee, Spanish, Music and Fun Gym

A monthly statement will be provided and will show the current fees due. The statement will include monthly tuition, and any charges for Lunch Bunch or early morning.

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch is our after care program. Starting in the 2020-21 school year, Lunch Bunch will run from 12:00-2:00pm and cost $7 per hour. Children will bring their lunch with them.

We also have early drop-off available from 8:00-8:55am. The cost for early morning is $5.


Children in all classes are eligible to stay if completely potty-trained.

The Virtual Schoolhouse


The Virtual Schoolhouse is available for any students in Kindergarten - 5th grade enrolled in virtual learning (hybrid and/or full-time) with Horry County Schools. Staff will provide guidance; document connection issues; and coordinate times for breaks, snacks and lunch. Health and safety protocols will be followed to include: morning temperature checks, social distancing, and required cleaning.


Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

If St. Philip Preschool is closed for any reason, the Virtual Schoolhouse will be closed. Parents will be notified of closure as soon as possible.

Cost to attend:

Preschool siblings or Church members' children: 

$25/day or $100/week

All others: 

 $30/day or $130/week

What we provide:

  • A safe environment for children to engage in their virtual school that adheres to guidelines set by SCDHEC, CDC, DSS, and local authorities.
  • Monitor and students will be temperature checked each morning. Anyone with a temperature above 100F will be sent home and will not return until fever free for 72 hours.
  • Monitor with all necessary federal and state background checks.
  • Weekly schedule sheet for parents to complete with child’s schedule requirements.
  • A daily snack.

What students provide:

  • Fully charged device and power supply.
  • Items necessary to complete assignments (pencil, paper, notebook, etc.).
  • Lunch and re-useable water bottle.
  • Book or other quiet activity in event student completes assignment early.

Our mission at St. Philip Lutheran Preschool is to provide a loving, fun and safe environment for preschool children, while fostering each child’s intellectual, social/emotional, physical and spiritual development in a stimulating and age appropriate program; thereby, setting the stage for each child to develop a love of learning.

The foundation of our school is to develop the love of learning and help feed the natural curiosity in a child. This includes a well-defined purpose to provide a loving, Christian environment where a growing child's spiritual, social, mental and physical needs can be nurtured and developed. 

Classrooms are designed to encourage each child's cognitive thinking skills through hands on learning centers. We believe that learning by discovery and doing is very important. We provide learning experiences in language, science, creative movement, social studies, art, music, math and pre-reading and writing skills.
